VIRTUAL WINE UNCORKED INTERACTIVE TUTORED TASTINGS

The idea behind the virtual tastings is to make them affordable and accessible whilst bringing people together over a glass of wine and perhaps discovering some new wines along the way.

These online tastings will be held via Zoom with tasters arranging their own wines from a selection that I will suggest from main supermarkets and local merchants.
The cost is £10.00 per household and places are limited and do need to be booked in advance.

I’m very pleased to announce a new series of virtual tastings for 2022

‘AN A-Z OF GRAPE VARIETIES UNCORKED’

For each tasting, I will take one letter of the alphabet and choose between 2 -4 different grapes which could be white or red or both. They might be familiar, unique to location or rediscovered. Let’s see how far we get through the alphabet!

We will cover:

· The history and origins

· Alternative names and related varieties

· Key locations and factors affecting the style

· Behaviour in blends

Thursday 28th July 2022 - 7.30pm-Torrontes, Teroldego, Touriga Nacional, Tannat

This will take us on a whirlwind world tour beginning with the aromatic whiteTorrontes from Argentina. The remaining grapes are black with Teroldego from North East Italy, Touriga Nacional from Portugal and Tannat from either Madiran in South West France or Uruguay, you choose!

Thursday 18th August 2022- 7.30pm- Verdehlo, Verdejo, Vermentino, Viognier

This tasting is a white grape focus with suggestions of Verdehlo from Australia, Verdejo from Rueda in Spain, Vermentino from Italy, Corsica or Australia and Viognier from France or Australia. They are all very distinctive and different so should be interesting in a line up!

BOOKING/PAYMENT Please email me to book (payment by BACS transfer) and I will send the wine details. The virtual tastings are also listed on Wine Tastings and Wine Events Aberdeen (Aberdeen, United Kingdom) | Meetup if you would prefer to use Paypal you can book on the event page by using the RSVP and once I receive notification of your booking, I will email wine details to you.

If you have a group of a minimum of 10 households who would like to get together over a PRIVATE VIRTUAL WINE TASTING using ZOOM, please do get in touch to chat about possibilites, these are a great way for family and friends and work collegues to 'get together' over a glass of wine

· A little history, a touch of the science bit and an introduction to each gin

· 5 different gins (20ml)

· A selection of tonics and garnishes to create the producers (and your own) perfect serve.

To book a place on any of the listed courses and events, please email me at carol@wineuncorkeducation.co.uk

Full prepayment is required within 7 days to confirm your booking, this is non refundable or transferable to another event but if you are unable attend, please send someone in your place.

Tastings and courses require a minimum number of bookings to run. If I have to cancel or postpone any course or tasting, a full refund will be given.
